The Low Carbon Champions Awards are designed to identify and promote examples of outstanding and innovative practice in accelerating the shift to lower carbon vehicles and fuels and reducing road transport emissions. The LowCVP Champions Awards were established in 2010. The 2012 awards will be presented at a gala event to take place on January 29 2013 at One Birdcage Walk, Westminster. The deadline for nominations for these Awards is Friday 23 November.
The awards are open to any UK business, organisation or individual that has made a significant contribution to accelerating the shift to lower carbon vehicles and fuels or reducing road transport greenhouse gas emissions through other approaches. You don’t have to be a LowCVP member to enter. International activities are eligible if these were also conducted in or have directly benefited the UK. There are nine categories for the Low Carbon Champions Awards, reflecting the diversity of those engaged in encouraging the shift to lower carbon vehicles and fuels.
The awards are an initiative of the Low Carbon Vehicle Partnership (LowCVP), a public-private partnership that exists to accelerate a sustainable shift to lower carbon vehicles and fuels and create opportunities for UK businesses. Over 200 organisations are engaged from diverse backgrounds including automotive and fuel supply chains, vehicle users, academics and civil society.
